The 2019 Krister Stendahl Memorial Lecture by Prof. Katharina von Kallenbach

The Center for Interfaith Dialogue, run by the Stockholm Diocese of the Church of Sweden, and Paideia invites you for the 2019 Krister Stendahl Memorial Lecture. The Krister Stendahl Memorial Lecture is a yearly event to honor the memory of Krister Stendahl, bishop in Stockholm 1984-1988 and Professor at the Divinity School at Harvard University. Bishop Stendahl was also a member of Paideia’s board of trustees.

The 2019 Krister Stendahl Memorial Lecture will be held by Prof. Katharina von Kallenbach from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Professor von Kellenbach is the author of Anti-Judaism in Feminist Religious Writings (Scholars Press, 1994) and co-editor of Zwischen-Räume: Deutsche Feministische Theologinnen im Ausland (LIT Verlag, 2000) and Von Gott Reden im Land der Täter (Gutersloher verlagshaus, 2001). She leads a research group titled Felix Culpa? Guilt as a Culturally Productive Force.

The title of the lecture is “Guilt as a productive force in the transformation of Jewish-Christian Relations” and it will take place on October 31 at 15.00 in Ersta Konferens in Stockholm.
