Wednesday 22 January, 18.00

Born in 1919 in Germany as a hub for avant-garde artists until its forced demise by Nazi Germany in the 1933, the Bauhaus Movement is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2019. While short-lived as an institution, Bauhaus inspired many beyond its original borders and, can be now spotted in Canada, The United States, Western Europe and Israel where many German-born Jewish artists immigrated after fleeing from the Nazis. This photographic journey takes you through some of Tel-Aviv’s Bauhaus landmarks and other Bauhaus-inspired constructions, from the see shores, to the main land and all the way to the Tel-Aviv University Campus, shedding some new light on the White City. To celebrate 101 years since Bauhaus was born, we invite you to the opening of the Art exhibition “The City of Lights A photographic voyage through Tel/Aviv’s Bauhaus and Bauhaus inspired architecture”. Ouriel Morgensztern will be present at the opening.
