What does the recruitment process look like?

  Applicants must complete and submit the online application form available on the Paideia website. Admission decisions are communicated no later than two weeks after the application deadline.

  If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the available places, eligible candidates may be placed on a waiting list.

How many participants join the Project-Incubator?
Each year, 20 participants are selected to take part in the program.

Can I apply with my project partner?
Due to the limited number of places, only one participant per project can be admitted to the program. Applicants are therefore encouraged to coordinate with their project partners before applying.

Is there an age limit of acceptance?
No. There is no age limit for participation in the Project-Incubator. Applicants from all age groups are welcome to apply.

Which projects are eligible to apply?

Projects applying to the Project-Incubator should meet the following criteria:

• Address a specific need:

Respond to a clearly identified need, challenge, or opportunity related to Jewish life in Europe, including educational, cultural, heritage, communal, intercultural, or institutional contexts

• Demonstrate feasibility and impact:

Present a concrete project idea with realistic potential for implementation and meaningful social impact

• Have a European scope:

Be implemented in one or more European countries, with the potential to contribute to Jewish communities and life across Europe

• Be at any stage of development:

Be either a new initiative at the idea stage or an existing project ready to enter its next phase of development, expansion, or growth

What are participants expected to commit to?

Participants should be prepared to:

• Participate fully in the program:

Commit to attending and actively participating in all components of the Project-Incubator

• Advance their project in 2027:

Work towards implementing or further developing their project during 2027, building on the knowledge, tools, and guidance gained during the program

• Take part in follow-up activities in 2028:

Participate in two follow-up sessions organized by Paideia to reflect on progress, address challenges, and support the continued development of their projects

What is the cost of the program?
Applying to and participating in the Project-Incubator is free of charge. However, participants are responsible for covering their own travel expenses to and from Stockholm.

Does Paideia provide travel to and from Stockholm?
No. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to and from Stockholm. Paideia does not arrange or reimburse travel expenses.

Does Paideia provide accommodation?
Yes. Paideia provides accommodation for the duration of the program in shared twin rooms at a hotel located approximately a 15-minute walk from Paideia and Stockholm city center. Breakfast is included at the hotel, and most lunches are provided at Paideia during the program.

Participants who wish to modify their accommodation arrangements or extend their stay must make their own arrangements independently and cover any additional costs.

Does Paideia provide meals?
Breakfast is provided at the hotel, while most lunches are served at Paideia. The program also includes a Shabbat dinner and a closing dinner. Coffee, tea and snacks are available throughout the program days.
