The inaugural edition of the Summer Academy for Jewish Educators was launched at Paideia in July. A cohort of 20 educators and experts came together to participate in the nine-day course for professional development, focusing on European Jewish identity, community and text study. Furthermore, the program explored educational leadership and the role educators can play in shaping the future of Jewish life in Europe. The Summer Academy is part of a broader framework for strengthening Jewish educators across Europe, and is developed and managed in partnership with the Renaissance Hub.
The program included workshops, Havruta, mentoring, personal reflection and writing, theater and music, Shabbat experiences, as well as practical educational tools. Most of all, the program was about building a community of European educators and a network that continues long after Stockholm.
The Summer Academy is part of a broader framework for strengthening Jewish educators across Europe, developed and managed by Paideia in partnership with the Renaissance Hub and partners. The framework connects year-long professional training programs, the Summer Academy, and a growing European Jewish Educators Network.
